A joyous bounding Hare to hang on your wall ready to leap into your life. I have enjoyed its company on the walls of my house all March and now I’m ready to let it go (takes a while sometimes)

This textile sculpture is made with a very firm sculpted base which I have covered with various fabrics from linens and cottons to the wrong side of a hand embroidered cushion cover and some African material made from tree bark.

I used the reverse side of the cushion as the untidy ends and colours were far more interesting to me than just the plain stitched flowers. I have also used multi-coloured raw spun silk in areas to pick up contours and lines I wanted to emphasise

It hangs by a wired thread at the back and measures 66cm L x 48cm H x 22cm D (approx 26” x 19” x 9”)
