A textile Hare that can hang on your wall and bring Spring into your home…I have recently completed this piece, Hares are such a favourite of mine to sculpt, such beautiful and evocative animals.

I really wanted to use some of the rich green fabrics from my ‘stash’ of saved textiles, plus the last treasured remnants from a hand embroidered but unfinished cushion cover gifted by a friend, using both the right and wrong sides as the textures and colours are so interesting. The main fabrics are velvets, woollen tweeds, wool embroidery plus some linens.

I worked on the sculpture to have a joyful and uplifting mode, new green shoots are always around the corner for us all, I’m very happy with the outcome.

It hangs from a loop at the back and the whole Hare is 80cm L x 55cm H x 18cm D
