This large Woodpigeon is a sculpture made with an armature, its firm body then covered with velvets and brocades.

With strong wire legs and a textile beak, it is 32cm H x 28cm L x 17cm W and one of the photos even features one of my obliging cats for scale. These portly birds are a firm favourite of mine, they always seem a bit apologetic for eating all my cabbages at the allotment, thankfully this one is better behaved. A totally unique piece to display in your own home, just don’t let your dog run off with it!

I even found a piece of velvet with wings embroidered on, too good not to use
